5 YEARS Gesundheitspraxis

Today, I am celebrating a very special milestone in my journey as a self-employed individual.

Back then, I had pondered, calculated, and researched extensively to determine whether I should take the leap into self-employment or not. With a significant push from my partner, who supported me in all aspects back then and still does today, I took that step. I started on January 3. 2019 with a 20% workload (Fridays and Saturdays) and worked as a nanny from Monday to Thursday to ensure a steady income. Initially, it was slow going, and there were days when I sat at my practice room (back then still on Bahnhofstrasse in Riehen) at my desk, reading anatomybooks, hoping that someone would call or book an appointment online.

About 9 months later, my practice colleagues and I moved to our current location on Äussere Baselstrasse. The practice slowly started to "pick up," and I began to build a loyal clientele. I was still working 6 days a week, mainly as a nanny.

Then, in the spring of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. It was a highly surreal experience, filled with existential fears, numerous conversations and exchanges with professional colleagues, press conferences, and canceled courses. Fortunately, we remained healthy, and I was able to reopen my practice in April 2020. Requests began pouring in as many people, overwhelmed by working from home and multitasking, sought relaxation and peace in my practice. It became evident that I needed to reduce my workload as a nanny to meet the demand in the practice.

In September 2021, the time had come; I took the leap into full self-employment! From that point on, I was my own boss.

In July 2022, I took on a half-day position at Matthea Geburtshaus in Basel, where I expanded my services with certified pregnancy massage.

When I opened my doors five years ago, I had a dream: a dream to help people relax, reduce stress, and improve their physical and mental well-being. Today, I can proudly say that I've realized that dream. However, I'm not resting on my laurels. I will continue to work hard to maintain a high level of service and provide the best to my clients.

This anniversary is also an opportunity to look back on all the wonderful encounters and experiences I've had over the last five years. I've been able to establish many valuable connections with my clients and help them in their recovery and rejuvenation. Your satisfaction and trust are the greatest rewards for me.

I want to thank you for trusting me over the past five years. Your support and loyalty mean a lot to me.

Here's to the next five years and many more successful years filled with relaxation and well-being!

Thank you for being a part of the Massage Practice family. This success would not have been possible without you, my valued customers. That's why I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

In the guestbook below, you're welcome to leave a comment, share an experience, or simply send a greeting.

Warm regards,
